When mature, the Captive-Bred ProAquatix Clarkii Clownfish has a reddish-brown base color and dorsal fin. It has a white caudal fin and vertical white stripes on its body. Orange appears prominently on its head, belly, and most of its fins (anal, pelvic, pectoral). The juvenile fish are yellow with three white stripes on each side of the body. It has a white anal fin with a yellow stripe on the top and bottom.

Clarkii Clownfish is one of the hardiest Clownfish so is popular among home aquarists. A 30 gallon or larger aquarium containing an anemone of any type is desirable to include in its underwater environment. It is semi-aggressive towards other Clownfish and passive tankmates. The Clownfish does not require an anemone host but will accept one if present.

The Captive-Bred ProAquatix Clarkii Clownfish is a member of the Pomacentridae family and is an omnivore whose diet consists of almost any meaty food items such as Mysis or brine shrimp, and herbivore preparations.

Proaquatix is a top rated wholesaler of captive-bred Clownfish and other marine ornamentals, providing the highest quality graded fish to suppliers since 2001. Because they have their own grow-out facility, Proaquatix can hand-pick their breed stock to select the most beautiful and healthy specimens from the thousands of fish they have in production.

By providing an alternative to wild-caught fish, Proaquatix is helping to reduce human impact on ocean reef ecosystems, thus supporting reef conservation and the future of marine aquarium keeping.
