Sukhoi Su-35S 'Flanker' E: Russia’s 4th ++ Generation Super-Manoeuvrability Fighter

The Sukhoi Su-35S (Cy-35C) was developed from the Sukhoi Su-27 air superiority fighter/interceptor as a 4th ++ Multifunctional Super-Manoeuvrable fighter for service with the Russian Federation Air Force, entering service in 2014. In the middle of the first decade of the 21st Century, the Su-35S was born out of the ashes of the original canard-tri-plane Su-35 program that fell by the wayside in the early 2000’s.
